About Lee Davis Jr.

Hello, and nice to meet you. I’m Lee Davis Jr., a Florida writer, voracious reader, and lifelong student of human behavior.

I was born and raised in Florida and now call New Smyrna Beach home. When I’m not writing, you can usually find me near the ocean, spending time with family, getting lost in a good book, traveling whenever I can, or following a research rabbit hole that may or may not eventually find its way into a story.

I’m drawn to characters who are funny, flawed, loyal, wounded, brave, inappropriate at exactly the wrong time, and human enough to make terrible choices for understandable reasons. I like stories where danger reveals character, humor becomes a survival tool, and the people who show up for each other become every bit as important as the plot.

My fiction explores ordinary people under extraordinary pressure. I’m interested in the moments when fear, love, grief, loyalty, and instinct collide, and when a person discovers they are capable of more than they ever wanted to know.

I write thrillers with emotional stakes, cinematic tension, sharp humor, and characters who carry their scars into the fight.

A smiling couple taking a selfie on the beach, with the ocean and a partly cloudy sky in the background. The man is wearing reflective sunglasses, a blue t-shirt, and a visor, while the woman is wearing dark sunglasses, a sleeveless top, and has a tattoo on her shoulder.

We only live once. I would rather dare and fail than regret not trying.
